How to use JobPay (beginner guide)

Simple step-by-step: create an account, add clients and dues, chase on WhatsApp/Email/SMS from Today, mark paid, and keep a daily streak.

JobPay helps freelancers and small businesses get paid faster. You list who owes you money. Every morning, a Today screen shows who to remind. It drafts a polite message. You tap send on WhatsApp, Email, or SMS. You stay in control — nothing is sent without your approval.

This guide is for beginners. Follow the steps in order. It takes about 10 minutes to set up.

Step 1 — Create your account and start the free trial

Go to JobPay.com and tap Start free trial (or Sign up). Enter your email and password. Confirm you are logged in.

New accounts get a 30-day unlimited free trial. You can add clients, dues, and send reminders with no limit during the trial.

Step 2 — Add your clients

Open Clients. Tap Add client. Enter the person’s or company name. Add their WhatsApp / phone number (this is how chase opens WhatsApp). Email is optional but useful for email reminders.

Tip: Add every person who owes you money — freelancers, retainers, landlords, vendors. One contact book keeps chase simple.

Step 3 — Add what they owe (dues)

Open Dues (Invoices). Create a new due. Pick the client. Choose the type: invoice, retainer, milestone, fee, rent, or vendor. Enter the amount, currency, due date, and a short ID (like INV-12).

Add a payment note: bank details, UPI, PayPal, Wise, or a payment link. This note is included in chase messages so clients can pay in one step — a best practice used by top invoice tools.

Save. Repeat for each unpaid amount. Multi-currency is supported (INR, USD, EUR, GBP, and more).

Step 4 — Open Today every morning

Today is your morning desk. It ranks unpaid dues by risk: how late, how much, and how many times you already chased. High risk appears first so cashflow threats get attention.

Spend 5 minutes: open Today → review the top 3 → chase or snooze → mark paid when money arrives. That habit is how freelancers get paid faster.

Step 5 — Send a reminder (you approve every send)

On a due, open the suggested chase. JobPay picks a channel and tone based on how many times you chased: Day 1 friendly WhatsApp → Day 7 email → Day 14 firm WhatsApp → Day 21 SMS → Day 30 final notice.

Read the draft. Edit the wording if you want. Then open WhatsApp, Email, or SMS with the message ready. Send only when you are happy. Competitors often auto-blast; we keep human approval so relationships stay safe.

Step 6 — Snooze, dispute, or mark paid

If the client asked for a few days, use snooze so the due leaves today’s urgent list briefly.

If there is a disagreement, mark dispute — chase pauses without deleting history.

When money lands, mark paid. Reminders stop for that due. Always mark paid so you never chase someone who already paid.

Step 7 — Keep your daily streak

Checking Today builds a streak. A short daily check-in beats long, stressful chase days. Consistency is the product.

Step 8 — After the free trial

After 30 days, choose Monthly or Quarterly if you want to keep unlimited chase. Plans stay far below typical Chaser / PayChaser / NudgePay pricing. Cancel autopay anytime from Account.

Features you get (what serious chase tools should include)

Research across invoice-chase and freelancer billing tools points to the same must-haves. JobPay includes them:

• Client contact book with WhatsApp / phone and optional email • Track invoices and other dues (retainers, milestones, fees, rent, vendors) • Multi-currency amounts • Payment instructions inside every reminder • Multi-channel send: WhatsApp, Email, SMS • Tone escalation: friendly → firm → final • Suggested reminder sequence by chase count • Risk scoring so the worst overdue items rise first • Edit before send (you approve) • Mark paid stops further chase • Dispute pause and snooze • Today dashboard + daily streak • Site and templates in multiple languages • 30-day free trial, then simple pricing

We do not force accounting sync or a client portal. The goal is a fast morning habit on the channels your clients already use.

Extra tips to get paid faster

Agree payment terms before you start work. Ask for a deposit when the job is large. Invoice as soon as you deliver. Put clear payment details in every due’s payment note. Chase politely on a schedule — not only when you feel stressed.

That is the full beginner loop: clients → dues → Today → send → mark paid. Open this guide any time from the homepage link How to use.
